Rain Suspends Play at Babe Ruth
World Series in Clifton Park
Rain moved in and stayed Saturday night, suspending play of the
Babe Ruth 13-15-year-old World Series at Clifton Common.

Play was suspended at the top of the fourth inning of the South Colonie Versus Youngstown, Ohio with the scored tied 2-2.
The volunteers staff moved quickly to cover the infield with the inclement weather tarp to protect the newly installed infield grass and playing surface.
A revised schedule has been released to the public, all of it conditional upon Sunday morning’s weather conditions and ability to make the field playable:
Sunday, August 20
10 a.m. Youngstown, Ohio vs. South Colonie, New York (continuation of suspended game at 2-2 top 4)
11:45 a.m. Waite Park, Minnesota vs. Clifton Park, New York (originally scheduled 7 p.m. Saturday)
2:30 p.m. Torrance, California vs. Waite Park, Minnesota (originally scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday)
5 p.m. Kelso, Washington vs. Youngstown, Ohio (originally scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday)
8:30 p.m. Clifton Park vs. West End (Williamsport, Pennsylvania) (originally 4 p.m. Sunday)
Monday, Aug. 21
A tentative schedule has been released to the coaches which includes playing five full games beginning at 9
am but will not be released until later Sunday night.
