David Seed “Spitter Car” to make stop in Clifton Park
OMAHA, Neb. — David Seeds announced it will celebrate 80 years of providing healthful, delicious roasted sunflower seeds to baseball
players and all Americans with a high-energy, 80-day tour to bring fun to
fans of all ages at baseball parks and venues across the United States,
including a stop in Clifton Park during the 13-15 year-old Babe Ruth World Series Aug. 18-25
The brand is taking its new David Seedmobile on the road to 27 cities, giving fans a chance to come out of
the stands and "onto the field," to try their baseball skills and get a firsthand feel for the flavor and fun of the
game. Fans at each tour stop will have an opportunity to test their fastball against a David Seed speed gun, catch packets of David Seeds
launched by the Spitter Car, check out baseball equipment tailored for
today's Big League stars, play the latest baseball video games and compete in seed-spitting contests.
The company also announced its second consecutive “Good Seed”
award. The brand will recognize 80 players, coaches and enthusiasts
ages 13 and older who are involved with youth baseball and dedicate
their time to helping others achieve a healthful, wholesome and responsible lifestyle. To nominate a candidate, let DAVID Seeds know, in 100 words
or less, why the nominee is a “Good Seed.”
For the 80 individual award-winners, prizes include a baseball autographed by a Big League baseball All-star, a 'Good Seed' T-shirt, a 'Good
Seed' award certificate honoring the winner, and an ample supply of David Seeds. In addition, the grand prize is
a four-day trip for two in July 2007 to Hall of Fame Weekend in Cooperstown, to see the induction of new
class members.
The grand-prize winner will be selected from among the 80 individual award winners, and will be announced the week of Sept. 5, 2006.
